Blaine Lafontaine (R)

As a lifelong Hancock County resident, I understand the issues that have long aggravated us. As a husband and father, I’m deeply invested in making it better.
Along with my wife, Heather, and my daughters, Kylie and Khloe, I am active in our community. We play youth sports, attend mass at Most Holy Trinity Church and volunteer regularly.
I am a graduate of Hancock High and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. I will receive a B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2015. Two years as Ward 2 Councilman in Diamondhead and Director on the Solid Waste Authority have given me insight into local issues and helped create a vision for our county’s future.
Our natural assets and high-tech workforce should naturally lead to economic development. It hasn’t, and it’s past time to move this county forward with transparency, collaboration and leveraging our advantages to secure a better future.
